Oregon Symphony in Salem Moves to Rose Auditorium

We Are Moving!

Beginning in the 2026/27 season, all core Oregon Symphony in Salem performances will take place in the newly rebuilt Rose Auditorium at South Salem High School. We are excited to partner with Salem-Keizer Public Schools to bring our patrons upgraded comfort, parking, sound, and accessibility, while staying true to the music that we all love.

We remain deeply grateful to our friends at Willamette University, who have been gracious hosts to the Oregon Symphony in Salem for many years. We are honored to have been a part of Smith Auditorium’s history, and we look forward to continuing our partnership with Willamette University in new and meaningful ways.

Salem Venue Change FAQ

Will this change impact any performances in the 2025/26 season?

No, this change will take effect at the start of the 2026/27 season. Our last subscription performance at Willamette University will be held on May 15, 2026.

What does this change mean for subscription renewals?

Due to this transition, the launch of the 2026/27 Salem season will be later than in years past. We are committed to offering you the same high quality renewal experience beginning March 5, 2026.

When will I get to choose my new seats for next season?

In preparation for this venue transition, we encourage all Salem patrons to explore the Rose Auditorium seating chart.

During the subscription renewal period, we will assign seats as comparably as possible to your current seating arrangement in Smith Auditorium. We will then reach out to confirm these seating placements prior to the start of the 2026/27 season.

On January 20, we are excited host a “Date Your Seat” event exclusively for Salem subscribers, wherein guests will have the opportunity to sample and select their preferred seats in Rose Auditorium for the 2026/27 season while enjoying an evening of music. Will the venue change impact the number of concerts that are performed in Salem?

No. We plan to bring at least six concerts to Salem in the 2026/27 season, as we have in years past.

What accessibility features are offered at Rose Auditorium?

Rose Auditorium is fully ADA compliant with ramp access, elevators, accessible restrooms, and wheelchair seating with companion seats.
