Link Up Partner Schools are responsible for:
- Providing a recorder for each participating student (Link Up discount provided, if ordered from Peripole).
- Teaching the Link Up curriculum in the classroom and preparing students for success in the concert.
- Providing transportation to the Arlene Schnitzer Concert Hall. Bus subsidy funds of up to $350 may be available for Title I schools.
- Ensuring that concert ticket costs are paid in full, no later than 2 weeks after the date of the concert. Concert cost:
Students: $7 (see directions below to calculate how many Free Student Tickets your school is eligible for)
Title 1 Schools: Free
Teachers/Chaperones: Free
How to calculate the number of Free Student tickets:
The number of Free Student tickets is calculated based on your school's Identified Student Percentage. To determine your number of Free Student tickets:
- Open the Community Eligibility Provision Annual Report from the Oregon Department of Education.
- Find your school's Proxy Identified Student Percentage (ISP) in column 6.
- Multiply your school’s Proxy ISP percentage by the total number of Students attending the concert.
Example: You are bringing 100 students to a concert, and your school's Proxy ISP is
50%. 100 students x 50% = 50 free student tickets and 50 paid student tickets.
Your school receives at NO COST:
- A two-hour Professional Development workshop (mandatory) and additional Carnegie Hall webinars (optional) to prepare for the Link Up concert experience. Professional Development info will be shared with registered Link Up teachers.
- The Link Up Teacher’s Guide to integrate the curriculum into your music classroom with repertoire, activities, lessons, and student workbook.
- Full access to Carnegie Hall’s online resources for Link Up, and other education support music, materials, and games.
- Ongoing individual support in preparation for the Link Up concert.
