Brad Ellis is perhapsmost visible as the quiet teacher/pianist for the high school kids of GLEE on Fox, for which he was part of creator Ryan Murphy's musical production team. He is a music director & orchestrator for Matthew Morrison, Andrea Marcovicciand Jane Lynch, and has accompanied and orchestrated for many stars, includingKelli O’Hara, Kristin Chenoweth, Patti LuPone and Keith David. He’sorchestrated and conducted over a dozen albums for RCA, Varese Sarabande and DRG, including three albums featuring THE BRAD ELLIS BIG BAND. Among many adventures, he’s collaborated with Billy Joel and the Philadelphia Orchestra on Joel’s orchestral debut, helped create Hugh Jackman’s opening number for the 81st Academy Awards, written music cues for GILMORE GIRLS, BUNHEADS and THE MARVELOUS MRS. MAISEL, and worked on feature films including DELOVELY, CHICAGO and Disney’s animated BEAUTY AND THE BEAST. His heart belongs to Jazz Pixie Eydie Alyson. They appear together in swank nightclubs as Ellis ‘n’ Alyson.
